Zoopark Næstved.

While we have been here in Varpelev, the weather has been perfect. We have actually been sitting out side in the evenings.
Wednesday we went to a very small zoo with a nice playground. We enjoyed the weather and the kids had so much fun playing. It was a great day.
Now our little vacation is over, and we will be heading home in a cpuple of hours. We have had a great time, but it will be nice to be with my hubby again.

Trip to Køge.

Monday Christine, Anne Marie and I drove to south of Copenhagen to visit Søren's younger brother and his family. Christine loves playing with her cousin Fiona. It is nice to spend time with all of them, but I do wish Søren was here to enjoy the time with us.

Another week has gone, and Christine has been home from Kindergarten the last week. This week we recieved our last blog book, that we got from all our American friends, and I got a letter from Julie, and Christine got a letter and a t-shirt from Zoe. All of this made us miss everyone even more. Christine is talking a lot about her US friends, and that she miss' them very much, but we are trying to keep her positive about being back in Denmark.
Friday my mom, her friend Niels, my brother with family and Niels' oldest daughter Louise and her daughter Molly came tonour house for supper. We had a great evening, and Christine and Molly played so well together.
Saturday we got together with my grandpa's side of the family. It was a funfilled day, where we met a lot of family members that we had not seen for years.
Tomorrow monday Christine, my mother-in-law and I will drive to Copenhagen to visit Søren's younger brother and his family.

Trip to the beach.

Monday morning was the first day of Christine's summer holiday. We decided to take Molly and Grandma with us to the beach to collect sea shells. We had a great morning. Both Molly and Christine enjoyed it so much. Today tuesday I have been painting Christine's bedroom the second time, and our new bedroom the first time. Plan is that tomorrow I'll paint second round in our bedroom, and then hopefully we will be done soon, and have lots more room for toys :)

Weekend at grandma's.

This weekend Christine ended up spending at her grandma's. She slept there from Friday to Saturday, and when I came to pick her up, my niece and nephew were there. They were going to sleep there, and Christine couldn't understand why she was not going to stay there. So she got another sleepover :) They had so much fun. As for Søren and I, well Søren worked all Saturday on the floor, and I tried to look through some of our boxes. I did find the box with Christine's American Girl doll things in it, and she is now playing with her dolls again ;)
The other day Christine played with Zoe on skype. I loved hearing giggles and laughter from my girl again. She is having a hard time at her kindergarten right now, and has been sad a lot, so this was just joy to my ears. And of course I enjoyed talking to and seeing Julie again.
I must admit that I miss the US and my US friends very much.

A beautiful day.

Today started out with Christine and I sleeping in. Then we got up and had breakfast. After breakfast and a shower we headed to Aalborg, to shop in Build-a-bear. Christine got a lot of money at her Birthday party saturday, and she wanted to get some teddy bears. We didn't get to Aalborg until lunch time so we started out eating lunch at Jensen's steakhouse, and then we went to Build-a-bear. Christine got 2 big teddies, a white tiger and a Hello Kitty in pink, both with a set of clothes and a pair of shoes, and she got 2 new small fryes with clothes. I think we need to stop our shopping for now.. At least until the addition to the house is done ;)
After Christine and I got home, Christine's grandma came by, and we decided, that we would call grandpa, and tell him to come out for supper. So we grilled some hotdogs. The weather has been beautiful today. Hope it will be the same tomorrow.

Christine's Birthday Party.

Today saturday we held Christine's Birthday Party for family and friends. We had 46 adults and kids out for lunch. We made hotdogs, which was very easy with our big grill, and last Thursday Søren bought a big tent, so we had plenty of room using the tent and the livingroom. All the kids played and had fun, and we adults enjoyed talking. We all had a great day despite the rain. Now the house is cleaned and Christine had a shower, and we are all three watching Monster inc.

Trip to Fårup Sommerland.

Today friday Christine and Søren went to Fårup Sommerland with Søren's younger brother Jesper, his wife June and their two daughters Fiona (5) and Luna (1). They had a very fun day, and Fiona and Christine played so well together. I stayed home to get ready for tomorrow, where we are having Christine's Birthday Party for the whole family and some of our friends. We will be around 45 people for lunch, and the menu is hotdogs. So now the house is cleaned, the lawn is mowed and the hotdogs in the fridge. Here are some pictures from on of the rides in Fårup Sommerland.
