Fun day.

Saturday we had a fun day. First the Methodist church had games for the kids to play and lunch for all at the park. Christine thought it was fun, and she played good with Zoe and Hannah. When the party in the park ended, Bryan, Julie, Zoe, Hannah, Søren, Christine and I went to the pumpkinpatch in Donnelson. There were lots of fun for the girls. Corn pool, jumping pillow, swings, slides and horse wagon rides.
The three girls had so much fun, and Christine enjoyed reconnecting with Hannah too.
On our way home we all had supper at Pizza Ranch in Mt. Pleasant.
Christine stayed at Zoes for a sleep over, and we have to go pick her up when they are done with church and sunday school.

Grants Farm.

Today Friday we visited Grants Farm, and saw the Clydesdale Stables, and all the clydesdale horses. They are huge! Christine was very excited, and could just stand and watch the horses for a long time. After the stables we went on a tour around Grants Farm, and watched the other animals. It was a fine place and so fun for Christine. Now we are back in Mepo, where we will stay the last two weeks. We will go visit friends, a trip to Davenport and hopefully some hiking in some of the small close by state parks.

Space center, Huntsville, Alabama.

Yesterday, Thursday, we visited the Space center in Huntsville, Alabama. It was very interesting to see. Lots of exhibitions, and fullsized rockets.
The weather was warm and nice, maybe a little to warm (27 degrees C) when we do not have any summer clothes with us :)
Today we are ready for Grants farm. Christine is very excited to watch the clydesdale horses.

On our way to St. Louis we caught Nashville during rush hour :( Lots of traffic.

Road trip.

Today our roadtrip started. We had a 10 hour drive ahead of us today. Our destination was Huntsville Alabama, where we had booked a hotelroom for one night. In Huntsville there is a spacecenter which we will go visit tomorrow. On our way here we stopped for supper in Metropolis - home of Superman :) And no it was not planned. We had no idea. But a fun break in our long drive.
We are only staying here one day, and then we will head to St. Louis, where we will visit Grants farm, and see the clydesdales stables. It will be a fun thing for Christine to see.



One of Christine's favorite things to do in Mary Jo and Galens yard is to climbe the trees.

Hello Superman! We ate supper in Metropolis.

Riding

Sunday Christine went riding. She had so much fun, and though it had been more than 2 1/2 years since she last rode on Hotshot, she didn't want anyone to go with her. She just started riding. So proud of my girl.
She convinced me to try too. I don't think I need that again, but Christine had lots of fun seeing me on a horse :)
The last couple of days we have been reconnecting with more of our friends, and it is so good seeing them again.
The weather here has been perfect. 25 degrees celcius, so no coats. Hope it stays this way :)

USA

So finally the day came where we would have to leave Denmark, and go to the USA, and renunite with our friends. I know Christine was very excited, and so was Søren and I.
After arriving in O'Hare airport, we took a cab to our hotel, where Julie, Bryan and Zoe was waiting. It was a big moment seeing them again after 2 1/2 years. I was really surprised to see these little two girls almost throwing themselves into eachothers arms. As if they had never been apart. Amazing!
The next day (Friday) we went to the American girl store and did some shopping, and we went to Navy Pier, where we went to the childrens museum, and to build a bear.
Saturday came and we had to go pick up our car and leave Chicago to drive to Mediapolis. We got a nice car, and left Chicago. The drive was fine, and we were all excited to see Debbie and Brad who we stopped by first. I don't know how to describe the feelings going through my head driving into Mediapolis, this small town that I loved so much living in, and down all the familiar small streets to Debbie and Brads house, pulling up their driveway, again seeing Christine rushing out of the car just to run into Debbies arms.
I can only say that this is such an amazing feeling, and though a little sad knowing we have to leave again. But we enjoy every minute of it.
Well after some time at Debbie and Brads house, we went to Tricias so she could help us get settled in her parents basement, another rush of feelings, happiness and excitement, and the feeling that it was only a week ago we were here last.
On request from Christine we went with Debbie and Brad to Olde World, our little local cafe, for supper.
So, so far this has been an amazing experience.
Today Christine will go riding, and tonight I'm going with Debbie to fusion fitness, to try to burn some of all these calories that I have already consumed :)

Trip to Fårup.

We took a trip to Fårup Sommerland with Sørens family. We had a super fun day, and the weather was perfect. We had made lunch at home to bring to the park so we didn't have to wait in line for expensive food :) In the park there is this huge waterpark. The girls had lots of fun there too. Don't think the dads enjoyed it so much, as they were freezing :) At the end of the day we went to our house and had supper. A great end to a great day.
